The work to be performed under this contract consists of providing the labor, equipment, and materials necessary to accomplish the following: Interior rehabilitation and modification of an existing 1632 square meter shop facility, Building N246. Work elements include new lighting and power services, heating system, encapsulating wall insulation, new overhead crane control system, motorized hanger door operators, new modular office, demolition of office space, new liquid oxygen system. The additive bid item includes epoxy flooring and mechanical systems demolition. Asbestos abatement and lead abatement expertise are required. The order of magnitude for the procurement is between $500,000 and $1,000,000 and the effort shall be completed within 250 calendar days after notice to proceed. This procurement is part of the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program and is advertised under Full and Open Competition procedures. The SIC Code and small business size standard for this procurement are 1542 and $17 Million, respectively. The anticipated release date of the IFB/RFO is on or about April 3, 2000 with an anticipated offer closing date of on or about May 3, 2000.
