modification to the synopsis entitled PURCHASE OF DUAL-POLARIZATION 91
GHZ RADIOMETER which was posted on March 21, 2000. You are notified
that the following changes are made: This modification is issued to
include the specifications in the body of the synopsis in addition to
uploading them as a Microsoft Word document. The specifications for the
dual-polarization 91 GHz radiometer are as follows: Specifications: 1)
Antenna: (Quantity 1) a) Type: Dual-polarization (linear) feed-horn
with integrated lens. The feed-horn will be corrugated. b) The lens
will be plano-convex with 1/4 wave matching groves on the planar side.
The lens should be attached to the corrugated horn using a metal
propagation section, thus creating one integral lens feed-horn unit. c)
The OMT will have standard waveguide butt-flange interfaces. d) Minimum
frequency range: 90.955-92.355 GHz. e) Beam width: 4.0% +/- 0.1%. f)
Beam efficiency: >92% (optimize design for maximum). g) Maximum
flange diameter: Sufficient to meetbeam width and efficiency spec with
3/8-inch radius added for mounting by lens face. h) VSWR over
passband: Sufficient to meet NF specification. i) Insertion loss over
passband: Sufficient to meet NF specification. j) maximum cross-pol
off-axis lobe over passband: 25 DB 2) Isolators: (Quantity 2) a) Placed
between OMT and mixers. b) Isolation: 20 DB c) Insertion loss:
Sufficient to meet NF specification (~1 DB) 3) Mixers: (Quantity 2) a)
Fundamental mixer using planar diodes (no whisker diodes). b) Lo:
91.655 GHz with better than 5 mhz/deg c temperature stability 4) IF
amplifier: (Quantity 2) a) NF: Sufficient to meet NF specification. b)
Gain: Sufficient to produce -20dbm at IF output. 5) IF filter:
(Quantity 2) a) Passband: 500-1500 MHz, 30 DB rejection at 0.6 BW away,
40 DB passband ripple: <0.75 db. b) Rejection >30 DB at 0.6 BW
away from band edge, >40 DB at 2 BW away from band edge. c) IF
outputs: SMA female d) Power supply: +15 v 6) Integration of all
components in an envelope of approximately 80 cubic inches or less with
the overall length not to exceed 5 inches. 7) Delivery: 90-120 days
after receipt of order (ARO). The due date for receipt of quotes IS NOT
extended. Documents related to this procurement are available over the
Internet and are in Microsoft Office Suite (Word 6.0, Excel 5.0, or
