scheduling and Construction Contract Support Services, Field Support
Services associated with the design of this project. The project shall
consist of the design for replacement of a 60,000 square foot Coast
Guard owned pier at Pier 36-Berth Alpha-U.S. Coast Guard Integrated
Support Command Seattle, WA. Tasking will include soil exploration,
design for all utilities (water, telecommunications, sewage, drainage,
fendering), utility connections, relocation of a CG radar tower,
mechanical/electrical systems and demolition of existing timber pier.
Special emphasis will be placed on knowledge of concrete marine pier
design. Estimated construction cost range is between
$5Million-$10Million. Qualified firms desiring consideration shall
submit SF 255, including organizational chart of key personnel to be
assigned to this project, current SF 254 and consultant's current SF
255s not later than the close of business (4 p.m.) on the due date. As
there is no further technical information available, telephone calls
are discouraged unless absolutely necessary. Evaluation criteria in
descending order of importance are: (1) Specialized experience of firm
in concrete marine pier design, soil boring and analysis, experience
in energy conservation, pollution prevention, waste reduction, and the
use of recovered materials. (2) Professional qualifications relative
to the above work of firm_s staff and consultants to be assigned to
this project related to evaluation, planning and design services. (3)
Past performance with Government agencies and private industry in terms
of cost control, quality of work, and compliance with performance
schedules. (4) Capacity and capability of the team to accomplish work
in the required time, including innovative approaches/construction
scheduling protecting salmon habitat. (5) Project team organization and
quality control procedures. (6) Location in the general geographical
area of the firm to the project and familiarity with the project site.
