and Wildlife Service has the need for the construction of a new ferry
dock and erosion protection. The site is located just below the Kenai
river's confluence with the Russian river at mile post 55 of the
Sterling Highway on the Kenai National Wildlife Refuge. Construction
work will include: demolition of the existing dock; materials and labor
for the new 10 foot wide by 53 lineal foot ferry dock; upstream erosion
protection which comprises of clearing and grubbing, installation of
1,300 square feet of Root Wads and incidental landscaping; downstream
erosion protection which comprises of clearing and grubbing,
installation of 400 square feet of Willow Bundles and incidental
landscaping. The construction period is 30 calendar days and all work
must be complete and in place by June 5, 2000. The cost range is
between $25,000 and $100,000. The solicitation issue date will be
