Apache-Sitgreaves National Forests, Clifton Ranger District, Greenlee
County, Arizona requires stream bank stabilization of Eagle Creek at
Honeymoon C.G. and Four Drag. Stabilization shall be accomplished by
placing 3'-5' Riprap, repairing existing gabions. Erosion and Pollution
control shall be required and consists of placing strawbales and slit
fences. Riprap shall be generated at the Four Drag site and will
require blasting. The Four Drags and Honey Moon Sites can be reached by
traveling North on Hwy. 191 from Clifton, Az. Approx. 20 miles to
Forest Road #217. Then traveling West on Forest Road #217 approx. 21
miles to Honey Moon campground and an additional 1/4 mile to Four Drag.
Plans and specifications will be available on or about April 24, 2000.
