New Stoplogs: Fabricate, deliver, and install 204 new precast concrete stoplogs. Stoplogs are 15 inches thick, 8.5 feet tall, and 10.5 feet long. Stoplogs will have steel plates on the 15 inch by 8.5 foot ends and be fitted with rubber J-seals. Existing stoplogs will be removed from 51 stoplog slots and the new stoplogs will be installed in the slots. Reinforce Existing Stoplogs; Existing concrete stoplogs will remain in place in 13 slots. These stoplogs are to be reinforced by constructing vertical cast-in-place concrete supports on both sides of each slot (26 supports needed). Supports are 16 inches by 13 inches by 28 feet tall. Each support is anchored to existing concrete with stainless steel uncercut anchors. Anchors are 1-1/4 inch diameter by approximately 4 feet long. Underwater diving work will be required. Installation of new stoplogs and construction of concrete supports will be during January and February 2001 and 2002. The estimated cost range for this job is between $1,000,000. and $5,000,000.
