Forest has a requirement for a minimum of 2000 tons of aggregate. The
estimated types of aggregate are: 500 tons of surge stone or rip-rap,
500 tons of GAB, and 1000 tons of Georgia DOT #4 stone. The stone is to
be hauled and tailgate spread along various National Forest and County
roads within the Chattooga River Watershed on the east side of Rabun
County, Georgia. Stone must come from GA DOT certified quarry. This is
a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in
accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with
additional information included in this notice. The solicitation
identified as 8-3-00-09 is issued as a Request for Quotations. This
announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being
requested and no written solicitation will be issued. DESCRIPTION OF
REQUIREMENT: Line Item 01 -- 500 tons surge stone or rip-rap, hauled
and tailgate spread. Line Item 02 -- 500 tons GAB stone, hauled and
tailgate spread. Line Item 03 -- 1000 tons #4 stone, hauled and
tailgate spread. DELIVERY: Deliveries are to be made beginning upon
award and no orders will be placed later than September 30, 2000. Exact
directions to project locations to be given after award. SUBMIT OFFERS:
on company letterhead or form, no later than close of business April
14, 2000 to Contracting Division, Chattahoochee-Oconee National Forest,
1755 Cleveland Hwy., Gainesville, GA 30501. Provide quote by line item
per ton with haul and spread included in price. Quotes must indicate
quarry source and include a completed copy of clause 52.212-3
Representations and Certifications. Quotes will be evaluated on price
and capability of the item to meet the agency need. An Indefinite
Quantity, Indefinite Delivery contract will be awarded from this
solicitation. Orders will be placed as needed throughout the contract
period (Award date through September 30, 2000). More than one award may
result from this solicitation with a minimum guaranteed purchase of
$5000to each awardee. No more than $100,000 will be paid to a single
awardee. Delivery orders will be evaluated on (1) price and (2)
