This notice is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This procurement is being conducted under the Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP) and in accordance with FAR Parts 12 and 13. The purpose of this procurement is to purchase Four (4) Each Schlieren Windows for the Unitary 9 x 7 Foot Supersonic Wind Tunnel at NASA Ames Research Center, Moffett Field, CA in accordance with the specifications herewith and the specifications contained in Drawing No. 327C-5116-M15 (Rev. A). Written Specifications have been attached and may be viewed at this website; the document is entitled:"RFQ2-37026 Specifications". The provisions and clauses in the RFQ are those in effect through FAC 97-15. This procurement is a total small business set-aside. See Note 1. The SIC code and the small business size standard for this procurement are 3211 and 1,000 employees, respectively. The quoter shall state in their quotation their size status for this procurement. All qualified responsible business sources may submit a quotation which shall be considered by the agency. Final Delivery to NASA Ames Research Center is required within nine (9) months after date of award or no later than January 31, 2001. Delivery shall be FOB Destination Moffett field, CA. The DPAS rating for this procurement is DO-C9. Quotations for the Schlieren windows are due by 2:00 P.M. Local Time, April 13, 2000. Quotes may be mailed or sent via overnight delivery to NASA Ames Research Center, ATTN: Mark Lefler, Bldg. N213, Room 216, Moffett Field, CA. Quotes must include: solicitation number, proposed delivery schedule, discount/payment terms, warranty duration, taxpayer identification number (TIN), identification of any special commercial terms, and be signed and dated by an authorized company representative. In addition, Quoters must provide copies of the provision at 52.212-3, Offeror Representation and Certifications -- Commercial Items with their quote. Addenda to FAR 52.212-1 are as follows: Compliance with Veterans' Employment Reporting Requirements (February 1999) By submission of its offer, the offeror represents that, if it is subject to the reporting requirements of 37 U.S.C. 4212(d)(i.e. the VETS-100 report required by Federal Acquisition Regulation Clause 52.222-37, Employment Reports on Disabled Veterans and Veterans of the Vietnam Era), it has submitted the most recent report required by 37 U.S.C. 4212(d). If the end product(s) quoted is other than domestic end product(s) as defined in the clause entitled "Buy American Act -- Supplies," the quoter shall so state and shall list the country of origin. FAR 52.212-4 is applicable.
