99 -- MEDICAID EPSDT DENTAL GUIDE REVISION" DUE 040700 POC Lucille Fussell-Lee, (410) 786-5447 The Health Care Financing Administration (HCFA) intends to award, under Simplified Acquisitions Procedures, on a sole source basis, a firm, fixed price award to the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, 211 E. Chicago Avenue, Suite 700, Chicago, Illinois 60611-2663, for the revision of the publication "A Guide to Dental Care: EPSDT.Medicaid." The revision will include and incorporate modern information about the science and practice of pediatric dental care in the context of Medicaid. The Guide, cited by reference in the State Medicaid Manual, is an integral component of the guidance provided to State Medicaid agencies the dental profession, and other stakeholders involved in the implementation of the oral health component of Medicaid's Early and Periodic Screening, Diagnostic, and Treatment services. The revised Guide will be printed and disseminated by the Government. The American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, with its expertise and leadership role in the science and art of delivery, teaching and research in pediatric oral health, is in a unique position to complete this work. All others who respond must be prepared to provide clear and convincing evidence that they have the same skills, knowledge and status of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry.
