Knowledge-Object-Based-Integrated Course of Action Critiquing and
Elaboration System Experiment (ICCES) -- Future battle command decision
support systems will require the use of large-scale knowledge-based
technologies to provide automated real-time feedback and predictive
capabilities to aid decision-making. The development of ICCES will
address this requirement by integrating the capabilities of the Course
of Action (COA) Display and Evaluation Tool (CADET) and the High
Performance Integration, Transformation, and Exploitation of Knowledge
(HITEK) critiquer of the High Performance Knowledge Bases (HPKB)
program. This experiment will assess whether a prototype
knowledge-based decision support system can rapidly develop and analyze
courses of action for brigade and division level operations. The result
will be a prototype knowledge-based decision support system that
facilitates rapid development and analysis of courses of action for
brigade and division level operations. This is a sole source
acquisition to Teknowledge Corp., Fairfax, VA for the Firm Fixed Price
development of ICCES. The effort will leverage knowledge base
technology under development by Teknowledge for DARPA's HPKB program
and the CADET being developed under CECOM Sponsorship by Logica
Carnegie Group. This notice is for information purposes only. See
