If exercised the performance period for the option will be 01 October 2001 through 30 September 2002. Award will be made using other than full and open competition to Alliant Missile Products Company, West Virginia 26726-4730. Alliant is the only known source possessing the unique facilities and personnel expertise required for this effort. The contract will include an option provision to increase the level-of-effort up to 30% for the base period and the option period, if the option is exercised.
