The Naval Air Systems Command intends to contract with Northrop Grumman Corporation for support of a Foreign Military Sales (FMS) customer. The contract will include contractor engineering technical services (CETS), on the job training and upgrade to the hardware/software located in the FMS customer's software development laboratory (SDL) in Taiwan. The SDL was developed by Northrop Grumman to provide specific support for E-2T tactical operations. Northrop Grumman Corporation is the designer, developer, and sole manufacturer of the Taiwan E-2T aircraft, and is the only firm that has the proprietary data, technical knowledge, specialized equipment, unique engineering/ manufacturing experience and current familiarity with the Taiwan E-2T's design and operational characteristics to provide the required engineering services and SDL upgrade without adverse impact to Taiwan Air Force operational requirements.
