CONSTRUCTION: Reclamation of two entries to abandoned underground mine workings located in the Black Diamond Regional Park, south of the town of Antioch, in Contra Costa County, California. Work includes: 1)construction of a concrete and steel portal structure approximately 40' X 20' in area, earthwork, and related incidental construction for safe closure of an inclined entry, which will enable Park visitors to safely view the underground workings; and 2) construction of a concrete and steel collar and ventilation hood for a nominal 4' diamter vertical shaft. This project was previously advertised in the CBD on July 19, 1999, if your firm responded to the previous notice no further action is required, your firm will be placed on the mailing list for this solicitation. This solicitation will be released on or about April 6,2000. The estimated price range for this project is $150,000 to $250,000. A pre-bid meeting is currently scheduled for April 19, 2000 at 1:00pm (Pacific time) at which attendance is mandatory. The pre-bid meeting will be held at the Black Diamond Regional Preserve Park offices at the end of the Somersville Road, Antioch, Californina. The period of construction performance is 80 calendar days with the anticipated start date on or about July 5, 2000.
