Work consists of furnishing all plant, labor, materials, equipment and performing all work in strict accordance with those specifications, schedules and drawings forming parts thereof, for the replacement of an existing 500 KVA (4160 volt primary 480/277 volt secondary) transformer located in a General Electric Distribution Center 4CUS1 with a new 500 KVA transformer of the same physical configuration, and input and output capacity. Work shall include the opening of Distribution Center 4CUS1 and disconnecting the existing transformer and installing a new one in its place. All original connections will be reinstalled to the new transformer. The Distribution Center case will be reassembled and the new transformer tested for proper operation and phase connection. The work shall be performed by an electrical contractor (SIC Code 1731, size standard $7.0 Million) who has three years experience in the installation of Distribution Centers. All work is to be accomplished in strict accordance with applicable NIMA, EPA, and OSHA requirements. The performance period for this project is 150 days. The contractor shall be required to perform the replacement of the transformer on a weekend, which will include a scheduled power outage. The approximate cost of this project is between $25,000 and $100,000. Simplified Acquisition Procedures will be used and 100% of this project is set-aside for small business. The work is located at the National Imagery and Mapping Agency facilities at 3200 South Second Street, which is east of Broadway and south of Arsenal Street in the south city of St. Louis.
