Sealift Command requires a contract for Communication equipment to
completely replace or supplement current equipment configurations
aboard AO, AE and AFS Class USNS vessels. The goal of the equipment
replacement is to obtain commercial communications systems that will
decrease the number of personnel required to operate the communications
suite. Further, the contract will include an option for the contractor
to provide personnel to operate the communication equipment while the
ship is deployed both in the United States and overseas. The
competition will be on an unrestricted basis, and is for a base 20
vessels, and 10 optional vessels. The optional operation requirement is
for a base 12 months, and 4 periods of 12 months each, if exercised.
The solicitation will be made available on Military Sealift Command's
homepage. It is the responsibility of the interested parties to
independently review the referenced web links frequently for update to
any and all documents. Potential offerors will be responsible for
downloading their own copy of the solicitation and amendments(if any).
The Government does not anticipate issuing paper copies of these
documents. If offerors desire to be notified via e-mail when the RFP or
