The Corps of Engineers has a need for a contract for Fabrication of one set of miter gates for delivery to the Pittsburgh Engineer Warehouse and Repair Shop, Neville Island, Pennsylvania. The gates will be constructed of carbon steel plates, bars, sheets and structural shapes, stainless steel plate and pipe and steel forgings and steel castings. One set of gates consists of two gate leaves, each approximately 43'-1" high by 30'-6" wide. The gate leaves are of welded and bolted construction, and will be painted after fabrication. The period of performance will be 360 calendar days. The plans and specifications will be available approximately 17 April 2000 and will be provided free of charge.
