MidgettML@navair.navy.mil. The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR)
intends to procure the continuation of engineering studies related to
the integration of the Selective Availability Anti-Spoofing Module
(SAASM) into the Joint Standoff Weapon System (JSOW). This effort will
be procured on a sole source basis from the Raytheon Company, 1151 E.
Hermans Road, P.O. Box 11337, Tucson, AZ 85734-1337. This effort will
be contracted through the exercise of an option under the existing
SAASM studies order, Order 0008, under Basic Ordering Agreement (BOA)
N00019-98-G-0104. This will allow for Raytheon to continue with the
engineering, interface fabrication and testing, and overall
production-planning efforts required for the insertion of SAASM into
the JSOW. The purpose of this effort is to bring new production JSOWs
delivered after 1 April 2003 into compliance with current Global
Position System (GPS) security requirements for weapon based GPS. This
