D -- ASYNCHRONOUS TRANSFER MODE (ATM) POC Karen Kinzel, 618-229-9447 The Defense Information Technology Contracting Organization (DITCO) has a transition period requirement for a 6 month with 6 one-month options for the lease of an Asynchronous Transfer Mode (ATM) data communications service to support Fleet Numerical Meteorology and Oceanography Center (FLENUMMETOCCEN), Air Force Global Weather Central (AFGWC), National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), Naval Oceanographic Office (NAVOCEANO), and SECDEF Washington DC/DARPA/ISO.JPO. The requirement is currently being provided by MCI Telecommunications Corp., 8200 Greensboro Drive, McLean, VA, 22102-3803, under contract DCA200-96-C-0030. It is our intention to extend the existing contract for this transition period. The statutory authority for other than full and open competition is 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1).
