This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial services/items prepared in accordance with the format of FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation, quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation number 00-05 is issued as a request for quotation for a firm-fixed price contract. The Government has a requirement as outlined below for services located at the U.S. Army ERDC Cold Regions Research and Engineering Laboratory (CRREL)'s Ice Engineering's Ammonia Plant at 72 Lyme Road in Hanover, New Hampshire. All work shall be performed in accordance with the best business practices following all safety rules and regulations that apply to working around hazardous materials and while working with scaffolding and equipment. CLIN 0001 -- Furnish all labor, materials/supplies and equipment required to remove, rebuild and reinstall one screw compressor [FES Model 100ME, S/N 1655024]. The factory rebuilt compressor shall include new thrust bearings, unloader, o-rings and hardware, casing, gaskets, glide block, and new shaft seal. Upon completion of mounting the rebuilt unit, the contractor shall make all shaft alignments including hot alignment after the compressor/unit has been test operated. A Government-furnished forklift with operator will be provided for lifting and moving the compressor. QUOTE FOR CLIN 0001 AS 1 LUMP SUM = $_________. CLIN 0002 Furnish all labor, materials/supplies and equipment to retube one water cooled condenser [Frick Model STC 2018, National Board #4D299]. Unit contains 122 1 inch O.D. carbon steel tubes 18 feet 0 inches in length. All tubes shall be removed from condenser and properly discarded on site in a container to be determined at the time of servicing. Upon completion of new tube installation, contractor shall provide final hydrostatic test to head and piping to ensure leak free integrity of the system. NOTE: Scaffolding may be required for and provided by contractor to perform work on this condenser. QUOTE FOR CLIN 0002 AS 1 LUMP SUM = $________. CLIN 0003 Furnish all labor, materials/supplies and equipment to retube one water cooled, Zone 16, condenser [Frick Model STE 3018, National Board #40294]. Unit contains 298 1 inch O.D. carbon steel tubes 18 feet inch in length. All tubes shall be removed from condenser and properly discarded on site in a container to be determined at the time of servicing. Upon completion of new tube installation, contractor shall provide a hydrostatic test to head and piping to ensure a leak free system. QUOTE FOR CLIN 0003 AS 1 LUMP SUM = $_______. Services shall be completed within 30 days from award. Work may commence as early as 6 AM with contractor employees departing site by 6 PM daily unless arrangements are made in advance with the Government's technical point of contact to work outside this timeframe. All contractor personnel shall be U.S. citizens. A site visit is not required under this solicitationbut can be arranged upon request. All quotes must indicate an expiration date of offers. No additional Government furnished equipment or services will be provided other than that specifically indicated above under the resulting contract. The contractor shall be required to have proper ID at all times while on site and shall be required to wear a Government issued badge to access the facility. Award will be made on an all or non basis to the lowest priced, technically acceptable offeror who is on file with the Central Contractor Registry (CCR) at the time of award.
