The Office of Personnel Management (OPM) intends to issue a competitive solicitation seeking a qualified 8(a) contractor to provide unarmed security guard services at OPM's Theodore Roosevelt Building, 1900 E Street, NW, Washington, D.C. 20415. The proposed procurement is set-aside for competition among 8(a) firms. The Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) Code is 7381 -- Detective, Guard and Armored Car Services. To be eligible to compete for this requirement, you must be certified as an 8(a) firm by the Small Business Administration and must have average annual receipts for the preceding three years not in excess of $9 million. A firm, fixed price contract using commercial contract provisions will be used. The base period shall be from October 1, 2000 through September 30, 2001. There will also be four one-year option periods. All responsible 8(a) firms may submit an offer in response to this solicitation. It is recommended that interested sources inspect the work site so that they will be aware of the general local conditions which may affect the work.
