The principal components of the work to be performed includes the following: Earthwork for pipe trenches, pumping plant and appurtenant structures; Furnishing and laying approximately 9 miles of 4- through 30-inch-diameter line pipe; Constructing delivery installations and furnishing and installing steel pipe for delivery installations; Constructing pumping plants B1.0L and B2.9L including a pre-engineered metal building at each pumping plant site; Furnishing and installing pumping units and a steel manifold at each pumping plant; Constructing an elevated steel tank for Pumping Plant B1.0L and a regulating tank for Pumping Plant B2.9L; Furnishing and installing metal piping, supports, and valves; Furnishing and installing traveling water screens and conveyors; Furnishing and installing line meters; Furnishing and installing the outdoor single-ended primary and secondary unit substations; Furnishing and installing the grounding system, electrical conduit system and insulated conductors; Furnishing and installing the 5-kV and 15-kV power cables; Furnishing and installing the 5-kV motor control equipment, motor control centers, auxiliary control equipment, plant distribution panelboards and transformers, water level indicating and control systems, miscellaneous electrical equipment and communications systems; Installing Government-furnished programmable controllers; Furnishing and installing two complete lighting systems; and Designing and installing the Cathodic protection system. Compliance with the Indian Preference and Indian Preference programs is of the utmost importance. The goal for hiring of Navajo Tribal members is 100 percent.
