The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency has a requirement for modifications to Boiler #2 at its Environmental Research Center, 26 W. Martin Luther King Drive, Cincinnati, Ohio. Work shall include removal and replacement of the existing Coen burner, Bailey controls and boiler brick and mortar refractory for the 49,000 lb/hr, 110 psi, steam, Trane boiler. Connections will be made to existing gas, steam and electric utilities, along with certain minor control and electric modifications to Boiler #1. A firm- fixed-price contract is contemplated. A contract completion date of October 1, 2000 is anticipated. The estimated price range is between $200,000 and $300,000. The solicitation will be issued on or about 4/12/00.
