NASA/ARC plans to issue a Request for Offers (RFO) to develop and provide complete equipment replacement drawings and services to facilitate removal of the existing 250 HP boiler and installing a new Government Furnished 250 HP boiler and associated components in bldg. N211. The Offeror shall use Ames Standard Construction Specifications, dated September 20, 1996 for guidance. The order of magnitude for the procurement is between $100,000.00 and $250,000.00, and the effort shall be completed within 90 calendar days after notice to proceed. This procurement is part of the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program and is advertised under Full and Open Competition procedures. The SIC Code and small business size standard for this procurement are 1711 and 7.0M, respectively. The anticipated release date of the RFO is on or about April 14, 2000 with an anticipated offer closing date of on or about May 15, 2000. The firm date for receipt of bids or offers will be stated in the RFO. After release of the RFO, NASA, Code JFP will designate the actual scope of the above listed project requirement at the scheduled "job walk-through". All QUALIFIED responsible sources may submit a bid, which shall be considered by the agency. An ombudsman has been appointed -- See Internet Note "B". The solicitation and any documents related to this procurement will be available over the Internet. These documents will be in Microsoft Office Suite (Word 6.0, Excel 5.0, or PowerPoint 4.0) format and will reside on a World-Wide Web (WWW) server, which may be accessed using a WWW browser application.
