The work to be performed consists of removing and disposing of one 450 gal/min vertical lift turbine pump assembly and replacing the pump with a larger one. The Contractor shall furnish and install a new 900 gal/min vertical lift turbine pumping assembly to fit within the same concrete cut out hole. The contractor will need to modify the sump wall structure and another basin to accomodate a larger discharge pipe. The work is situated just south of the city limits in Cawker City, Kansas, Mitchell County. The due date for the Request for Quotations is tentatively scheduled for April 19, 2000. All reasonable sources may submit a quote which shall be considered by the Bureau of Reclamation. This will be set aside for small business. The Standard Industrial Classification Code is 1623. The small business size standard is $17.0 Million. To receive a copy of the RFQ, contractors shall fax a request to (406) 247-7798.
