System Improvements. Location: Federal Records Center, 9700 Page
Boulevard, Overland, MO. Time for completion: 395 days after notice to
proceed. Notice to proceed anticipated to be issued on October 1,
2000. Estimated cost range: 1,000,000.00 -- 5,000,000.00. Building 100
work involves replacement of low-pressure steam heating along with
heating elements and controls to hot water system as specified in
drawings and specifications. The work also consists of replacing
domestic hot water distribution system with point of use tank and
tank-less electric hot water heater as specified in drawings and
specifications. Building 101 work consists of replacing low-pressure
steam heating along with heating elements and controls to hot water
system as specified in drawings and specifications. The work consists
of replacing domestic hot water distribution system with 500 gallon
electric hot water tank and circulation pump and replace six existing
steam kettles with three new electric steam kettles as specified in
drawings and specifications. Work in heating system in both buildings
shall be done zone by zone according to each phase that is ordered out.
All other zones not included in this contract shall remain fully
functional at all times during the heating season. Base Bid: Building
100 Demolition and Plumbing Work. Option 1 Building 101 Heating Work.
Option 2 Building 101 Plumbing Work. Option 3 Building 100 Heating
Work. Option 4 Building 100 Heating Zone 3. Option 5 Building 100
Heating Zone 4. Asbestos Abatement competency qualification information
will be required prior to award. No document charge or deposit is
required. A subcontracting plan is required. All responsible sources
may submit a bid, which will be considered by the agency. Offers from
Hub Zone small business concerns will receive a price evaluation
preference per FAR 19.307. FAR Clause 52.219-4 Notice of Price
Evaluation Preference for Hub Zone Small Business Concerns shall apply.
