58 -- NOTIFICATION OF CONTRACT EXTENSION POC Y. Frank (703) 875-6990 The US Department of State(DoS), the Office of Acquisition Management proposes an extension of existing contract No. S-OPRAQ-94-D-0573 with Motorola, Inc., Hanover, Maryland, for additional five months through September 30, 2000 at no increase in the ceiling amount. The existing contract is an indefinite quantity/indefinite delivery type and expires on April 30, 2000. The extension is necessary to provide the DoS the capability to purchase Land Mobile Radio (LMR) equipment without delay for the Oversea as well as domestic wireless modernization. LMR equipment includes base stations, tone remotes, receivers, mobile radios, and handhelds which must have Mobile Data Communication signaling, Digital Encryption Standard Capability, UHF/VHF, and narrow bandwidth 12.5/25Khz programmable.
