Synopsis/Solicitation for noncommercial items prepared in accordance
with the format in FAR Subpart 13, as supplemented with additional
information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the
only solicitation. A Written Solicitation Will Not Be Issued.
Solicitation #: N00164-00-Q-0152 applies and is issued as a Request for
Quote (RFQ). This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and
clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-15
and DCN 20000316. The standard industrial code is 3663 and the
business size standard is 750 employees or less. The requirement is as
follows: CLIN 0001 7 each GPIB Interface Cards, Raytheon E Systems'
Part Number GPIB1014D; CLIN 0002 1 each Modem Card, Raytheon E Systems'
Part Number EPR165-3000-2; CLIN 0003 2 each Audio Multiplexer, Raytheon
E Systems' Part Number EPR165-2000-1; CLIN 0004 1 each Inter & Fiber
Opt, Raytheon E Systems' Part Number EPR165-1000-1; CLIN 0005 7 Each
SCSI Disk Controller, Raytheon E Systems' Part Number MVME147-010. This
requirement is solicited on a sole source basis to Raytheon E Systems,
Majors Field FM 1570, Greenville, TX. Raytheon E Systems is the
original manufacturer of the EPR-165 Signal Processors. If these items
are not procured from the original equipment manufacturer, the
aircraft with failed mission essential equipment cannot perform
reconnaissance missions, thereby compromising the Navy's ability to
provide security for the United States aircraft to perform the assigned
mission. These units must integrate precisely with the existing systems
in terms of form, fit, function and compatibility. The Government does
not possess any drawings or specifications; they are proprietary to
Raytheon E. Systems. A firm fixed price contract will be awarded
utilizing Simplified Acquisition Procedures. Required delivery is on or
before 60 days after award of contract. Partial deliveries or early
shipments will be accepted. Shipping terms are FOB Destination,
NAVSURFWARCEN Division, Crane, IN with inspection and acceptance at
source by a representative of DCMC. Contractor shall furnish a signed
copy of the DD250 to Linda Weedman, fax number 812-854-3811. FAR Part
12 procedures will not apply. All responsible sources may submit an
