E-MAIL: Click here to contact the Contract Specialist via,
thomas.cox@dtra.mil. Procurement Summary: This work is part of a
continuing Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA) effort to support the
design, development and testing of military systems which will be
required to operate in both the ambient naturally disturbed
environments and environments produced by nuclear weapons. This program
will provide for the continued maintenance and support of already
developed DTRA nuclear weapon phenomenology tools and for continued
technical support needed by the government and its contractors to carry
out design, analysis and system specification tasks. The primary thrust
of this program will be to maintain the support and distribution
capabilities for the large family of nuclear prediction tools developed
at DTRA. This will include familiarization courses and technical
support to the code/tool users. As funds allow, the program will also
attempt to improve code prediction areas particularly needed by program
offices and to fix any as yet unknown "bugs". To meet these objectives,
the contractor will be required to have a sound working knowledge of
the operation of communications, radar and optical sensor systems and
operational impact of nuclear explosions in the atmosphere on these
systems. No hardcopy will be provided and no additional notices will
appear. This solicitation and questions and answers will be responded
to via e-mail. The solicitation is expected to result in a single award
of a cost type contract. The contractor will require a DoD security
clearance of Secret. The anticipated level of effort is approximately
26.0 man-years with a 40 months period of performance. Please e-mail
requests for copies of the solicitation to thomas.cox@dtra.mil,
including your company name, point of contact, address, phone, fax and
e-mail address. This is a 100% total Small Business Set-aside
solicitation. The estimated release of this solicitation is 7 April
2000. For information contact Thomas L. Cox, (202) 325-1196.REFERENCE
