BERYLLIUM SOL DE-RP26-00NT40768 POC Mr. Ron Staubly, Project Manager,
304/285-4991; Ms. Denise Riggi, Contract Specialist, 304/285-4241 The
U.S. Department of Energy's, National Energy Technology Laboratory
(DOE-NETL) hereby amends the previous CBD announcement for the subject
solicitation made January 10, 2000. The previous announcement detailed
DOE's intent to publish a Request For Proposals (RFP) No.
DE-RP26-00NT40768 entitled "Real-Time Beryllium Monitor for Surface and
Air Samples," on or around February 9, 2000. The requirements published
in that notice indicated that the intent of the RFP was to procure a
single instrument that could make both airborne and surface
measurements of beryllium contamination in real-time. DOE will consider
a single monitor or separate monitors that can make airborne and
surface measurements of beryllium contamination in real-time. Offerors
must propose both airborne and surface measurements of beryllium
regardless of whether proposed as a single monitor or separate
monitors, and demonstrate the benefits of the proposed monitor(s). The
solicitation will be available on DOE/NETL's Internet site at
http://www.netl.doe.gov/business. Prospective offerors who would like
to be notified as soon as the solicitation is available should register
at http://www.netl.doe.gov/business/index.html. Provide your e-mail

under the heading "Environmental Management." Once you subscribe, you

will not be accepted and/or honored. The actual solicitation document
will allow for requests for explanation and/or interpretation.

is anticipated that the solicitation will be available on or about
April 12, 2000. The exact date and time for the submission of proposals
