The Government has a requirement for a Contractor to: a) develop a coordinated set of manuals that identify and clearly present practical, proven engineering techniques for accomplishing seismic rehabilitation at low cost when buildings of different occupancy types (or uses) are already slated for significant repair or renovation; and b) to prepare and implement, as the manuals are completed, a structured information dissemination activity to ensure that the concepts and other contents of the manuals diffuse into the mainstream of seismic rehabilitation design and construction practices. It is anticipated that the manuals will become de facto national standards of design and construction practices. All responsible sources may receive a copy of the solicitation by sending a written request to the aforementioned address. All requests for the RFP package must be in writing, and telephone requests will not be honored.
