The Government intends to procure engineering and repair support for AN/SPN-46(V)3 receiver assemblies. A Basic Ordering Agreement (BOA) for the engineering and repair support will be awarded to MITEQ, Inc., 100 Davids Drive, Hauppage, NY 11788 on a sole source basis citing statutory authority permitting other then full and open competition title 10, U.S.C. 2304c (1) Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements, as implemented by FAR 6.302-1. MITEQ, Inc. is the sole designer, developer, and original equipment manufacturer of the AN/SPN-46(V)3 receivers. MITEQ, Inc. is the only known source for spare parts and the only company that can perform emergency repairs and provide immediate factory support for troubleshooting and repair of these receivers. THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. Interested parties may submit information, no later than 15 days after this synopsis is published, which will be considered by this agency. A determination not to compete this proposed procurement action based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Services to be performed under the proposed BOA will span a period of three years beginning 16 August 2000 through 15 August 2003. The Standard Industry Code (SIC) is 3663.
