shall provide all labor, materials, equipment, transportation,
supervision and disposal necessary for rowhouse conversion at USCG Air
Station Cape Cod, Bourne, MA (Barnstable County). Work includes
converting four 2-bedroom rowhouse units into two 4-bedroom rowhouse
units. Work includes, but is not limited to, the following: Remove two
stairwells, remove kitchen cabinets in four existing units, enlarge
two second floor bathrooms, remove portion of concrete block bearing
walls and install lintel supports, new wood post supports, new vinyl
siding. Remove two exterior window wall sections, remove partition of
wood lintel headers on first floor ceilings and install new flinch
girders, demolish drywall/wood stud partitions and install new wood
stud partitions, new wood interior doors and wood bi-fold closet doors,
new den sliding door units, new plumbing for new laundry and renovated
kitchens and bathrooms, new wood flooring in-fill, complete interior
painting, new additional electrical outlets and new electrical panel,
removal and replacement of asbestos wrapped ductwork, incidental
related work. Estimated cost of this project is between $100,000 and

The DOT Bonding Assistance Program enables firms to apply for bid,
payment and performance bonds up to $1.0 million per contract. The DOT
provides an 80% guaranty on the bond amount to a surety against
losses. Loans are available under the DOT Short-term Lending Program
(STLP) at prime interest rates to provide accounts receivable
