Laminated Polycarbonate Structure that possesses a complex-compound contour. Form, Fit and Function: The Panel has extremely stringent optical requirements and must be capable of defeating the impact of a four pound bird at 400 Knots, to provide protection for the student pilot and enclose cockpit area. "Qualification Requirements" apply. The only known qualified source to manufacture this part is PPG Industries who has demonstrated the capability to the four pound bird strike at 400 Knots. The capability required to manufacture/assembly must be domonstrated prior to contract award.
