UNICOR FPI intends to enter into a Firm Fixed Price Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity type contract for leather in accordance with federal specifications MIL-L-44051, and USDA 6170-5C for the following line item: Line Item 0001 -- Leather, Cream, F-Grain, Type II, Class A or B. Leather shall be made in accordance with USDA Specification 6170-5C, and MIL-L-44051, Unit of Measure: Square Feet (SF). Line Item 0001 -- LEA0021 is a commercial item with a modification which allows for increased fire retardance of the leather. The period of performance is from date of award through one (1) year and one (1) option year if exercised, with an Economic Price Adjustment Clause. The first (start-up) delivery shall be 30 calendar days after receipt of delivery order. All subsequent delivery orders shall be 15 calendar days after receipt of delivery order. The Delivery Order Minimum is: 75,000 SF. The Delivery Order Maximum is: 150,000 SF. The Guaranteed Minimum Amount is: 75,000 SF. Delivery is FOB Destination at FCI Sandstone, MN. This requirement is all or none, and is a 100% small business set-aside (See Numbered Note #1). Bid Samples are required from each Offeror which shall be 12"x12" in size. All samples are due not later than April 11, 2000 at 2:00 pm to the Attention of Ana Ortega, Contracting Officer, FCI Sandstone, 2300 County Road 29, Sandstone, MN 55072. This award will result in the Best Value to the Government. The evaluation factors are Past Performance, Specifications, and Price. Past Performance and Specifications when combined are significantly more important than cost or price.
