UNICOR FPI intends to enter into a Firm Fixed Price Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity type contract for cornstarch as follows: Line Item 0001 -- CHM0002, Industrial Cornstarch, Unit of Measure: LB. The Cornstarch must be Acid-Hydrolyzed, thin boiling cornstarch to control viscosity, and must disperse easily to a smooth, even suspension in cool water. Offered item shall be compatible with all other chemicals in use in the manufacturing process. Product Samples are required which shall be brand name or equal. If neither offered brand name is used a product sample of 1000 LBS is required for testing before the opening date (04-14-00 at 2:00 pm)of the solicitation. Brand Name products as follows: KEOFILM 50 and AMAZIO 372/C 05036. Products Samples shall be submitted not later than April 14, 2000 at 2:00 pm. Samples will not be returned. Product Samples shall be sent to the attention of Tim Osburn, UNICOR, FPI, USP Terre Haute, IN, 4200 Bureau Road North, Terre Haute, IN 47808-8128. The period of performance is from date of award through two (2) years with no option years. Delivery shall be 30 days after receipt of delivery order. The Delivery Order Minimum is: 10,000 LBS. The Delivery Order Maximum is: 20,000 LBS. The Guaranteed Minimum Amount is: 60,000 LBS. Delivery is FOB Destination at USP Terre Haute, IN. This requirement is domestic only. This award will result in the Best Value to the Government. The evaluation factors are Past Performance, Specifications, and Price. Past Performance and Price when combined are significantly more important than cost or price.
