CORRECTION: This action was previously publicized in the CBD on March 28, 2000 and is hereby corrected to read as follows: This is Amendment #0001. The quote closing date remains unchanged (April 11, 2000 at 2:00 p.m.). The following clauses or special notes are hereby made a part of this quote: (1) Clause FAR 52.211-16, VARIATION-IN-QUANTITY (APR 1984) is hereby added to this quote. The permissible variation shall be limited to +/- 10% shall apply to each delivery order. (2) Clause FAR 52.217-9, OPTION TO EXTEND THE TERM OF THE CONTRACT (MAR 1989). Written notice of its intent to extend at least 60 days before the contract expires and paragraph (c) the total duration of this contract, including the exercise of any options under this clause, shall not exceed two years. (3) The "All or None" quote/award is hereby removed and multiple vendor award contract will apply. (4) UNICOR anticipates awarding this as a multiple vendor award contract which will result in no more than two (2) contract awards for each line item listed in Section B of this requirement. The Government may parallel award. The Government has the option to award to more than one vendor per line item. Each contractor has to be able to supply item listed upon request with delivery with 45 days ARO. Items will be completed among the awardees upon request for purchase. Quotes will be solicited prior to each delivery order to each awardee. The offeror with the quote rated best value by the Contracting Officer will be issued the delivery order. Best Value will be determined according to factors of price, delivery, quality, and past performance. The contractor guarantees to offer quotes at or less than their "Not to Exceed" price and "Not to Exceed" delivery time stated in the contract. The Clause 52.216.21, REQUIREMENT (OCT 1995), paragraph (c), will have a deviation stating that "...the Government shall order from the AWARDEES all the supplies ...." (5) Special "Penalty Note" will be applicable to awards from this quote: "A penalty will be assessed/deducted for all orders not meeting the required delivery date. Therefore, a penalty of 1% of the total amount of the order will be deducted from all orders not meeting the delivery requirements in Block #15 of the delivery order. The 1% penalty herein stated, will be waived at the discretion of UNICOR FCI La Tuna for delays in delivery due to reasons beyond the contractor's control." TELEPHONE REQUEST WILL NOT BE HONORED.
