US International Trade Commission (USITC) is seeking potential sources
who possess the capability and experience related to the following
service. The USITC has a requirement for a qualified source who can
provide computer programming services to add specific functionality to
an existing system that uses Microsoft ASP with BasicScript. We wish
to identify potential contractors who have specific experience
connecting ASP with Microsoft Excel spreadsheet functioning as a COM or
DCOM component. The task would be to install and configure Excel as a
COM or DCOM component, and develop appropriate ASP code to pass the
Excel component data and receive the results of a complex calculation
back from the Excel for further processing in ASP. Additional
information: the system is multi-user, so it must be able to generate
and manage multiple instances of the COM/DCOM object; we plan to have
our economists develop a complex non-linear model in Excel, which will
process data passed from the ASP program and provide the results of
the calculations back to the ASP program. All sources capable of
performing this requirement shall provide 2 recent references for
similar work, and a brief description of the tasks performed
(referenced work MUST have involved ASP communicating with Excel or a
similar COM/DCOM component); a brief description of the company; a
statement of capabilities relevant to the services required above.
