Z -- INDEFINITE QUANTITY CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT "FINISHES" FOR SOUTHEAST NEW ENGLAND DISTRICT SOL 082530-00-A-0078 DUE 042600 POC Michael Kenney (401) 444-1421 or Michael Bernacchio (508) 946-4905 On or about Thursday, March 30, 2000, the United States Postal Service, Facilities Service Office, 6 Griffin Road North, Windsor, CT 06006-0300 will issue Solicitation No. 082530-00-A-0078 for an indefinite quantity construction contract for "Finishes" (wall covering, floor refinishing, and interior/exterior painting) within the Southeast New England District, specifically the State of Rhode Island and the Counties of Barnstable, Bristol, Nantucket, Dukes, Norfolk, and Plymouth in the State of Massachusetts. Sealed offers are due in the Windsor office on or before Wedneday, April 26, 2000 no later than 4:00 p.m. EST. Offers will not be publicly opened. The number of offers received, the identity of the offerors, the amount of any ofer, or relative standing of the offerors WILL NOT BE DISCLOSED TO ANYONE until after award of the contract(s). The term(s)of the contract will be for one year with four one-year renewal options. Work will be defined on work orders issued, as required, for various amounts andtypes. Initial contract value is $200,000.00. Total contract value will not exceed $3,000,000.00 for five years. The work may include any of the items listed in the "Unit Price Schedule" and/or "Specifications" and may be performed at various owned and leased postal facilities within the area covered by the Southeast New England District Office. A proposal guarantee will not be required. Performance and payment bonds on Postal Service forms will be required from the successful offeror. Initially a $200,000.00 performance bond is required and a $100,000.00 payment bond. (As the total value of the work orders exceed $200,000.00, additional bonding will be required.) Proposal documents and specifications may be purchased for $25.00 per set from the Facilities Service Office, 6 Griffin Road North, Windsor, CT 06006-0300.
