NAVICP-Mechanicsburg awarded a five year base, firm fixed price(FFP)
supply, requirements, Performance Based Logistics (PBL) contract,
N00104-00-D-ZD21, for the Close-In-Weapon-System(CIWS) with Raytheon
Missile Systems (RMS)-Tucson, AZ for the full range of repair and
replacement spares currently managed by NAVICP-M in support of Navy,
U.S. Coast Guard ships and Foreign Military Sales (FMS) Cooperative
Logistics Supply Support Agreement (CLSSA) customers. RMS shall
function as the Government=s Commercial Stock Point for these spares in
support of domestic requirements including the performance of all
routine inventory management functions including receiving, shipping,
tracking, warehousing, reporting and scheduling. The goal is to improve
the availability and reliability for the CIWS while simultaneously
reducing overall support costs. NAVICP-M now plans to add this PBL
contractual coverage by modification for FMS non-CLSSA sustomers.
Different delivery performance metrics will apply based on Raytheon's
ability to fill demands from available Government inventory and the
existence of demand data for the stock numbers. The projected
milestones are: Submittal of cost proposal-60 days ADC Audit/Pricing
Report-90 ADC Negotiation and Issuance of Definitizing
