kevin.walker@kelly.af.mil. This is a requirement for Tear Down Report
(TDR) investigations on the F100-PW200/220/220E/229 Engines/ Modules/
Accessories covering a wide array of Nouns, Part Numbers, and National
Stock Numbers. A one(1) year Basic Contract and one (1) one-year option
is contemplated. This requirement has a Waiver from Qualification
Requirements applicable through 8 Jul 2001. This means that an
unapproved source cannot be approved through the Government. Technical
data in the possession of the USAF does not define the characteristics
or conditions to inspect for, o rthe acceptance/ rejection criteria.
Knowledge of design intent is required to conduct TDR's. Knowledge of
the design intent for the F100 Engine is proprietary to Pratt & Whitney
and resides solely within their corporate knowledge base. All potential
offerors should contact the buyer/PCO identified in this notice for
additional information and/or to communicate concerns, if any,
concerning this acquisition. If your concerns are not satisfied by the
contracting officer, an Ombudsman has been appointed to hear concerns
from offerors or potential offerors during the proposal development
phase of an acquisition. The Ombudsman does not diminish the authority
of the program director or Contracting Officer, but communicates
Contractor concerns, issues, disagreements, and recommendations to the
appropriate Government personnel. When requested, the Ombudsman shall
maintain strict confidentially as to the source of the concern. The
Ombudsman does not participate in the evaluation of proposals or in the
source selection process. Interested parties are invited to call the
