E-MAIL: Isabell Watts, Isabell.M.Watts.1@gsfc.nasa.gov. NASA/GSFC plans to issue a Request for Proposal (RFP)5-12333/263 for support to Code 916, Atmospheric Chemistry and Dynamics Branch. The Draft RFP,(DRFP)5-12333/263 was synopsized on January 27, 2000 and issued on March 15, 2000 for industry comments. The RFP is being revised for final release. This procurement is a total small business set-aside. See Note 1. The SIC Code and Sized Standard are 8731 and 500 employees, respectively. The Government does not intend to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12. See Note 26. The DPAS rating for this procurement is DO-C9. This requirement will support Code 916, Atmospheric Chemistry and Dynamics Branch in the areas of model development, analysis of model simulations and data analysis; scientific programming; developmnet, operation, modification and update of computer codes for models and data analysis; maintenance of a library of atomospheric and solar data computer records; and maintenance of a library of model output and history. This procurement is a follow-on effort to some of the requirements currently being performed under five separate contracts. (NAS5-32585:SAC; NAS5-31729:IDEA; NAS5-32332:GSC; NAS5-32350:RSTX; and NAS5-31752:SSAI) A five year basic contract is contemplated for this effort. The anticipated release date of RFP5-12333-263 is on or about April 20, 2000 with an anticipated proposal due date of June 5, 2000. All Qualified responsible sources may submit a proposal which shall be considerd by the agency. The solicitation and any documents related to this procurement will be available over the Internet.
