The Defense Supply Service-Washington on the behalf of the Office of the Secretary of Defense intends to award a single source contract (IAW FAR 6.302-1, Only One Source) to the Harvard University, Olin Institute for Strategic Studies to conduct summer study of the future of security environment. The contractor will conduct a private sector summer study that focuses on the conditions that will shape the security environment within which the United States will conduct its military policies over the next twenty years. To study this subject, the contractor will assemble 25 individuals for five working days, and divide them into working groups. No more than half of the participants will be from the university world, and the rest will come from the US military and civilian policy world. They will receive briefings from up to 10 invited speakers. Using their shared knowledge, they will produce a brief to be delivered to the assembled group plus an invited audience on the last day of the summer study. No solicitation will be issued.
