Department of Commerce intends to award as extension to the elevator maintenance contract to Elevator Control Service, 8231 Penn Randall Place, Upper Marlboro, MD 20772. The contractor shall provide as required all management, supervision, labor, materials, supplies, and equipment necessary to provide the Department of Commerce, Herbert C. Hoover Building, with full maintenance of twenty eight (28) passenger and five (5) freight elevators. The period of performance for these services is March 1, 2000 through September 30, 2000. This is a notice of intent and not a request for proposal. This contract extension will allow the Government to re-compete this requirement. The Government anticipates issuing the solicitation on or about May 3, 2000 for a base period and four one-year options.
