Johnson (801) 595-2312 SOLICITATION NOTICE: The Utah National Guard proposes to award a contract for the construction of a new Operations and Training (O & T) Facility located at the Utah Air National Guard Base, Salt Lake City, Utah. The building will have 44,400 square feet of floor space in two stories. It will be of structural steel construction, including steel floor and roof joists, metal decking and concrete floors with brick, metal siding, stucco veneer and metal roofing. Gas fired HVAC with air handler, boiler and hot water heating with VAV boxes. The project also includes a 3,900 square foot addition to and the remodel of the existing Squadron Operations Building (Building 40). Five buildings, four wooden and one masonry, will be demolished. Included will be new asphalt roads and parking areas, curb and gutter, sidewalk, storm drainage system together with landscaping and gas, water and electric utilities. Since the project will involve a large portion of the base, a phased construction plan will be adhered to.This award is being issued pursuant to the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program and will be an unrestricted acquisition. All qualified businesses are encouraged to participate. Large businesses are required to comply with FAR clause 52.219-9 regarding the requirement for submission of a subcontracting plan. Plan will be submitted before contract can be awarded. SIC Code is 1542 and the Small Business Size Standard is $17 Million. Estimated Magnitude is between $5,000,000 and $10,000,000. Performance period is 900 calendar days. Bid packages will be issued through the use of CD ROM on a first-come first-serve basis only to contractors interested in bidding and until supply is exhausted. Solicitation documents are tentatively scheduled for May 9, 2000 at a cost of $25.00 (non-refundable) per set. The $25.00 is to accompany your request and be in the form of a check or money order payable to the "Treasurer of the United States". All requests shall be in writing.
