Z -- INDEFINITE QUANTITY CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT BOILER RELATED SYSTEMS -- SOUTHEAST NEW ENGLAND DISTRICT SOL 082530-00-A-0079 DUE 042700 POC Michael Kenney (401) 444-1421 or Michael Bernacchio (508) 946-4905 On or about Thursday, March 30, 2000 the United States Postal Service, Facilities Service Office, 6 Griffin Road North, Windsor, CT 06006-0300 will issue Solicitation No. 082530-00-A-0079 for boiler related systems within the Southeast New England District, specifically the State of Rhode Island and the Counties of Barnstable, Bristol, Nantucket, Dukes, Norfolk and Plymouth in the State of Massachusetts. Sealed offers are due in the Windsor office on or before Thursday, April 27, 2000 no later 4:00 p.m. EST. Offers will not be publicly opened. The number of offers received, the identity of the offerors, the amount of any offer, or relative standing of the offerors WILL NOT BE DISCLOSED TO ANYONE until after award of the contract(s). The term(s) of the contract will be for one year with four one-year renewal options. Work willbe defined on work orders issued, as required, for various amounts and types. Initial contract value is $200,000.00. Total contract value will not exceed $3,000,000.00 for five years. Work includes, but is not limited to, replacement, conversion or modernization of boiler/related systems, including demolition, piping, concrete masonry, specialties, mechanical/electrical, plumbing and painting. Fuel selection will be #2 fuel, natural gas or proane as applies. The work shall also include, but not be limited to, demolition, excavation, preparation, construction and restoration of the site to original condition. Proof of being a licensed, mechanical/electrical contractor must be submitted with proposal. A proposal guarantee will not be required. Performance and payment bonds on Postal Service forms will be required from the successful offeror. Initially a $200,000.00 performance bond is required and a $100,000.00 payment bond. (As the total value of the work orders exceeds $200,000,.00, additional bonding will be required.)
