The Contracting Office, Laughlin AFB TX intends to procure a MULTIPLE AWARD IDIQ TASK ORDER CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT in the following category: Interior and exterior building construction and repair and alterations including but not limited to electrical, carpentry, masonry, plumbing, mechanical, architectural, landscaping, storm drainage, exterior restoration, waterproofing, re-painting, cleaning, sealing and other repair/alterations or construction or demolition services as specified, design-build services, earth work, miscellaneous drainage structures such as culverts and headwalls, pavement and concrete slab replacement/repair, and construction and other miscellaneous minor Civil Engineering work items to include airfield improvement and repair such as replacement of concrete slabs, asphalt pavement and repair of joint seals and base materials. The performance area is Laughlin AFB TX located in Del Rio, Texas. The duration of the contract(s) shall be for a period of one year with four one-year options. The anticipated maximum amount of each contract is estimated at up to $15 million for the life of the contract. The anticipated minimum amount of each contract is estimated to be $5,000.00 for the life of the contract. This negotiated procurement will be accomplished by the Best Value Source Selection Method. Evaluations of each proposal will be accomplished utilizing (a) Past Performance (b) Mission Capability and (c) Proposal Risk. The Standard Industrial Code is 1542 and the size standard is $17,000,000. The solicitation package will be issued in the form of a Request for Proposal (RFP) and will be made available for downloading from the Internet (EPS Web-Site) address www.eps.gov on approximately 15 MAY 2000. The closing date is tentatively scheduled for 15 JUNE 2000. ALL INTERESTED PARTIES (INCLUDING 8(a) CONTRACTORS, WOMAN OWNED BUSINESS CONTRACTORS AND HUB-ZONE CONTRACTORS) ARE INVITED TO RESPOND.
