36 -- TRASH RACK CLEANING SYSTEMS SOL DACW57-00-R-0020 DUE 053100 POC Wanda Ferris, Contract Specialist (503) 808-4610 The Portland District of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers intends to award a contract to design, fabricate, and install an automated trashrack cleaning system at three separate locations: The Dalles Dam North Shore, Bonneville Dam FV3-9 and FV5-9 Auxiliary Water Supply (AWS) Intakes. The three fishladder AWS intakes consist of vertical bar steel rack used to strain debris (tumbleweed, aquatic plants, logs and sticks) from the water as it enters the concrete intake structure. A new cleaning system will ensure that required quantity of clean water is delivered to the fishladder at all times. Equipment must operate under full flow conditions. The trashracks are approximately 25-30 ft height, and 10-18 ft width, some with multiple trashrack depending on location. The installation work shall be complete by March 15, 2001. Solicitation DACW57-00-R-0020 will be issued on or about May 1, 2000. The tentative closing date is May 31, 2000. Submission of technical proposals are required. Award will be made to thatofferor submitting the lowest priced, technically acceptable proposal. The solicitation is a 100% Small Business Set-Aside.
