The General Services Administration has established a new business unit within the Office of the Administrator that will offer integrated mobile computing solutions to all Federal agencies. Office@nywhere wishes to identify current commercial off the shelf business applications running on mobile devices such as Personal Digital Assistants (PDAs), handheld computers, etc. that meet the immediate and future needs of the Federal Field Agent, Telecommuter, and Traveler. Solutions presented by Industry must demonstrate how business functions performed on the move (or outside the traditional workplace) are accomplished in support of organizational missions and also how they integrate or share information with enterprise systems. This Request for Information (RFI) is used to promote a continuous exchange of information among industry and the Office@nywhere Program Director and Contracting Officer. RFIs may be used when the Government does not presently intend to award a contract, but wants to learn about commercially available mobile computing solutions.
