<center>MARKET SURVEY FOR AVIATION SAFETY INSPECTOR PILOT
TRAINING FOR THE FAA ACADEMY, AMA-200</center> <p>The
Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) is conducting a market survey to
determine whether sufficient vendors exist to provide the FAA Academy
with pilot training form newly hired aviation safety inspectors. This
training would be conducted in light single and multiengine aircraft
at the commercial/instrument level (to include spins in the single
engine aircraft), with emphasis on pilot certification maneuvers. The
workload would consist of approximately 50 students a year, each
receiving approximately 15-20 hours of flight time each. The aircraft
used should be the equivalent of late model Cessna 172's and Beechcraft
BE58 Barons.</p> <p>Interested vendors should include with
their response the a detailed description of the following
information:</p> <blockquote> <ol> <li>flight
training courses available;</li> <li>quantity, type, and
age of aircraft available;</li> <li>facilities available
for flight training; and experience; and</li>
<li>qualification of instructor personnel.</li> </ol>
</blockquote> <p>Initial expression of interest is due by
April 21, 2000. Detailed information set forth above shall be submitted
no later than April 28, 2000. The FAA intends to establish a vendor
lists for the training support on or before May 12, 2000.</p>
