The presolicitation CBD Notice for this project, which was published on February 17, 2000, is modified as follows: The solicitation will now include a base schedule and four option year schedules. The base schedule will be for the design, supply, and installation of a new valve body seat ring for the 168-inch-diameter turbine isolation butterfly valve for Unit A-6 located in the Upper Arizona Penstock in the Powerplant at Hoover Dam. The four option schedules will include the supply and installation of new valve body seat rings for the remaining 168-inch-diameter and 120-inch-diameter turbine isolation butterfly valves in the Arizona and Nevada penstocks. Each option schedule will be for seat rings for 4 butterfly valves. The installations will occur during annual scheduled outages, the dates for which will be provided in the solicitation. The total performance period of the contract is not to exceed 5 years. Acquisition of these items will be conducted pursuant to FAR Part 15, Contracting by Negotiation. As a result of these changes, the solicitation title is changed to "Modifications to 168-inch and 120-inch Butterfly Valves." The estimated cost range of this project is also revised to $1 million to $5 million. We estimate issuing the solicitation on April 7, 2000, and estimate the date for receipt of proposals will be May 8, 2000. There are no changes to the rest of the initial Notice. Companies who have already requested plans do not need to submit a request again. THERE IS A NONREFUNDABLE CHARGE OF $20 FOR EACH COMPLETE HARD COPY OF THE SOLICITATION (plans + drawings).
